I’d rather die with Orion’s hands around my throat than have anyone else touch me at all.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a mafia series by K.M. Neuhold, but it’s been an entertaining and slightly unhinged ride so far!

Elio and Orion was an explosive and kinky combo, with some hate to love, obsession and possessiveness. Orion was not a fan of Elio or the mafia at the beginning of the story, but Elio simply kept appearing until Orion snapped – and once he realised how the big bad second in command looked on his knees, he couldn’t stay away.

I loved seeing Elio submit, and their dynamic was overall a lot of fun to read. I enjoyed that the focus in this book was mostly on Elio and Orion and their relationship, and not as much on the family as a whole. They made me smile a lot for being a mafia romance on the darker side of things, and I loved the nicknames they had for each other. It was also a sweet surprise to see how they both brought out some softer and vulnerable sides of each other, something they couldn’t really afford to show anyone else.

Beautifully Savage Butterfly was a great follow up to Deadly Little Sparrow, and I really enjoy this series so far! The kinks, the steam, the dynamics… So good! A little over the top at times, but in a fun and entertaining way – and I look forward to seeing more unhinged mafia men written by K.M. Neuhold!

“I feel like you’ve peeked into all my dirtiest fantasies and handed them to me on the tarnished platter I’ve been craving,” he murmurs, his voice as raw as my insides feel.
“What, no one’s ever fucked you like they hate you before?”
