He took one fucking look, and he knew.
Him. Just him. Him and nobody else.
This series is quickly becoming a favourite for me, I just love the emotional and almost cryptic storytelling together with the amazing characters and banter!
Maybe You instantly had me captured to the point where I didn’t want to put it down, and it was very easy to get intrigued by the characters and plot. It was an emotional story, with characters that had been through a lot and was still dealing with wounds from the past. I loved how Briar Prescott skilfully wove together Wren and Sutton’s story, and the way that everything came together was beautiful!
I loved the tentative way things slowly built between Wren and Sutton. The trust and vulnerability that Wren placed with Sutton had me tearing up at times, and it was hard not to fall for these two. Their chemistry was great and it was sweet how they were so drawn to each other right away, but with neither of them wanting to admit to it. While it was a little frustrating to only get Wren’s PoV and not knowing what Sutton was thinking and feeling at times, it also added to the puzzling nature of the story, which Wren had to try to put together towards the end in order to understand Sutton and his actions.
Maybe You was an absolute gem of a story and a fantastic addition to the Until series, and I can’t wait to see what Briar Prescott will write next!
He wraps himself around me again, and I hesitate for a millisecond because this has the potential to hurt, before I give in and hug him back.
“Don’t let me let you go,” he rasps into my ear.
