When Audrey would say, “You just haven’t met the right person yet,” my soul would cry out, “Yes, you have! It’s me! I’m right here!”
About Last Night was a low angst, slow burn romance – full of sweet and swoony moments! The humour was great and I really enjoyed the combination of tropes. I adored Topher and Julian, and it was a treat to see how things slowly developed between them. I was totally invested and rooting for them. I loved the tension between Julian and Topher, and it was interesting to see how Topher slowly started to see Julian differently.
I really liked how the sexual discovery was written, and the way Topher felt safe enough with Julian to eventually act on his attraction. I also liked how Julian was this big flirt and how he seemed so sure that Topher was his soulmate, without coming off as too pushy. They were so sweet and supportive with each other, and I loved how there was no drama or angst to their story.
About Last Night was a wonderfully sweet and swoony romance, and it was the perfect read to start off the new year with!
“Tinder is for people looking to find a mate. I’ve found mine,” Julian said with a wink. “I use Grindr to work out the kinks until you come to your senses. I mean, you haven’t exactly been celibate these past three years.”
