The Secret Librarian

I’m a librarian (surprise!), who prefer to spend all my free time in books. I’ve been reading and reviewing books for as long as I can remember, and a few years ago I stumbled across the romance genre and never looked back.

I live in Sweden, sharing a tiny flat with my fluffy cat and a lot of books. I work at a public library, with focus on kids and teens, and for ages I also reviewed and blogged about children’s books and YA.

These days I mostly read and review gay romance books, mainly written by indie authors.

Why ‘The Secret Librarian’?
When I started reading romance, I felt the need for new profiles, as my old ones had very different content (children’s & YA books). I’m not very creative when it comes to names and my friend made a joke about my “new, secret account”, soooo here we are.

Reviewing

All my reviews contain my honest thoughts and opinions, but I choose to mainly focus on what I loved in the story. If I feel like a book isn’t a good match for me, I won’t finish or review it.

I’m an ARC reviewer and all of my ARC reviews are marked, both by a banner and a tag, to let you know that I received a copy of the book in an exchange for an honest review.

I love books and authors, so I mainly use my profiles to promote and love on my favourite reads and authors!

I always find it hard to describe my ratings and steam levels, since it’s mostly based on the feelings I get while reading, and I know that they’re very subjective as well. But here’s a try:

Ratings

Rating: 5 out of 5.

It was amazing, I’ll carry the story with me for a long time and I’ll definitely re-read it.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

I really liked it!

Rating: 3 out of 5.

I liked it, but there were some things I struggled with.

Anything below 3 stars is a DNF for me.
