“No. Fuck no. You’re not doing this shit without me, Ror.” If he insists on taking care of me, I’m going to take care of him too. “I won’t let anything happen to you either.”
He grins in the dark car. “Aren’t you fucking sweet.”

I loved getting more of Rory’s backstory, and it’s always fun with a little robbery meet-cute!

I’ve really enjoyed this series and the mini mob found family that these guys have going on, and it was a lot of fun to see Shai finding his place with Rory and the other guys! Rory was an intriguing character, and I had been looking forward to getting his story and PoV since the first book. He was a little unhinged and a total chaos gremlin, but he was also carrying a lot of pain – and reading about his past was heartbreaking.

He and Shai had a lot of tension and chemistry between them right from the start, and while taunting an armed robber might be… unwise, it was also a very Rory thing to do. It didn’t take them long to realise that the deal they made might not be enough for either of them. Shai’s circumstances were pretty dire, and he had quite a lot of baggage as well. I loved their shared moments of hurt / comfort, and their connection just kept growing stronger the more they got to know each other.

It was also sweet to see the conversations between Rory and Cillian, they were so vulnerable with each other and it was clear how well Cillian knew Rory and how his mind worked. Seeing more of Rory’s connection with Ollie was heartwarming, and while it took a bit for Shai to understand the dynamics between them, it eventually fell into place rather organically. It was super hot when all four of them got together, and I also loved the touch of primal play between Rory and Shai!

Sweet Obsession was a great way to end this series, and I’m going to miss this chaotic found family! It’s been an entertaining ride for sure, and I love the way it all came together. It’s the perfect series to pick up when you want dark-ish contemporary romance with morally grey and obsessive MCs, mafia vibes and found family!

Shai turns out the light and climbs into bed with me, and the last thing I hear is, “You’re mine. I don’t care if you’re theirs too, but you’re mine,” before I drift to sleep.
