“You need a keeper,” I told him as he opened his car door and slid inside.
“You volunteering?” he asked, looking up at me through a fall of hair.
If only I could. Because this guy clearly needed someone watching his six. Bailey was trouble and temptation all wrapped up in one irresistible package.
It’s always bittersweet to read the last book in a series, but Bailey and Flynn’s story was a great way to end things!
I’d been looking forward to Bailey’s book, as his story had been building throughout the series, and I really enjoyed the way his and Flynn’s relationship came together. The romance between them was sweet and a bit of a slow burn, with a touch of forbiddenness to it as well. There had been some tension between them for a while, and it was cute to see them crushing on each other.
Bailey and Flynn were both trying to find their own ways, Bailey was young and not sure about his future, and Flynn was trying to get his life on track after getting out of prison. Flynn didn’t feel like he deserved Bailey, but Bailey was sure about what he wanted though and didn’t let Flynn’s insecurities deter him. They both had things they needed to work through, and I especially loved to see Bailey’s journey and development throughout the story.
This series has been great, and I’ve loved seeing the connections and love between these brothers and their partners! The found family has been lovely, and I can’t wait to see what DJ Jamison will come up with next – the spin-off that was teased in this one seems very interesting!
