He haunted me in ways the dead never had. Not because he was searching for comfort, but because he didn’t know what it felt like. And fuck if I didn’t want to be the one to show him.

This was a highly anticipated read for me and wow, I’ve read and loved April Jade’s previous books but this was on a whole other level! I was instantly intrigued by Blue and Sam, and I loved seeing these two find each other. I mean, what’s not to love with a needy, possessive boy and his protective Daddy?

I have to admit that I was a little hesitant at first about the power imbalances between Sam and Blue, considering Blue’s past and the age gap between them. The author managed to find a great balance when it came to their relationship though, and I ended up loving their dynamic. They both needed each other in different ways, and it was really sweet to see them find comfort and safety together.

While it was a dark romance, there was also a lot of fun banter and humour that had me smiling and laughing. Blue’s sheltered life was showing at times, and his naivete led to some cute and fun situations and discussions. The boys made such a great little found family, and I can’t wait to see more of them!

All Ghosts Aren’t Dead was a fantastic read and I loved pretty much everything about it! I could easily have read a lot more about Blue and Sam, as well as their house of baby assassins. If you’re a fan of dark / mafia-ish books with possessiveness, broken boys and a heavy dose of hurt / comfort, this needs to be on your TBR!

“I love your heart,” I whispered, pressing a kiss to his chest. “It’s the safest sound in the world.”
