All Ghosts Aren’t Dead is the first book in The Forgotten series.
This was a highly anticipated read for me and wow, I’ve read and loved April Jade’s previous books but this was on a whole other level! I was instantly intrigued by Blue and Sam, and I loved seeing these two find each other. I mean, what’s not to love with a needy, possessive boy and his protective Daddy?
While it was a dark romance, there were also a lot of fun banter and humour that had me smiling and laughing. I really liked the other boys and their little found family, and I can’t wait to see what else this series will bring!
If you’re a fan of dark / mafia-ish books with possessiveness, broken boys and a heavy dose of hurt / comfort, this needs to be on your TBR!
How it begins…
I wasn’t allowed to cry—men don’t cry—but my nose burned anyway. Tears bubbled up in my eyes before spilling down my cheeks and dribbling over the curve of his knuckles.
Tropes

- age gap
- hurt / comfort
- forced proximity
- first time
- past trauma
- found family
He haunted me in ways the dead never had. Not because he was searching for comfort, but because he didn’t know what it felt like. And fuck if I didn’t want to be the one to show him.
What to expect

- mafia adjacent
- both MCs falling fast
- a touch adverse Daddy
- a traumatised & needy boy
- humour & banter
- possessiveness & marking
- religious trauma
This boy who had been starved of kindness, who had never been taught the shape of safety, handed his heart to me with both hands.
Willingly.
Entirely.
