Please note that this book is part of an interconnected series that shouldn’t be read out of order.
Dragon’s Revenge was a long awaited and sweet conclusion to Adar, Delton & Oliver’s relationship!
It took me a bit to get back into the plot and setting, as it had been a while since the last story was released, but the brief summary at the beginning really helped – and it wasn’t long before I was back on track and caught up with everything going on.
From Dragon’s Surprise it was clear that Adar, Delton and Oliver still had a long way to go, there were some broken trust, hurt feelings and Delton wasn’t even sure about the three of them being fated for each other. I think Nora Phoenix did a great job of writing their relationship development here, and even if I still felt like they had some work to do before things would feel more solid and established between them, I was very happy with how things turned out.
They were so sweet together, and I liked how Adar and Delton took time to get to know each other. They needed the time to connect and come to terms with being fated mates, and both Adar and Oliver had some grovelling to do as well. The slow progression worked well for them, as it was something all three needed, and I loved seeing their cute dates and dinners.
The overarching plot kept up the suspense here, and I liked how the situation with Rhene played out. The rescue mission had me on my toes, and I’m very curious to see what the dragon slayer will bring in the next story. I certainly didn’t get the best vibes from him… I love the kind of sanctuary that the pack land is turning into though, and I can’t wait to see the new omegas get settled in.
Dragon’s Revenge was a highly anticipated read for me, and I really enjoyed the continuation of Adar, Delton and Oliver’s relationship! It had all the usual things that I’ve come to expect from this series: suspense, hurt / comfort, found family / pack dynamic, and frustratingly vague prophecies. I can’t wait for the next story, and I already love and look forward to seeing more of Zack!
