Colt and Noah had an addictive push and pull dynamic, and I didn’t want to put their story down!
I’m always a little hesitant about rivals / enemies to lovers, and while it took a bit for Colton to grow on me, I ended up truly enjoying this one. The push and pull between Noah and Colton was a lot of fun, these two didn’t easily give up on their animosity and fought hard against any attraction they felt for each other. I loved how bratty Colton was at times, but it didn’t take long for Noah to learn how to handle him, and the manhandling was super hot! Their dynamic was overall very hot, with fighting as foreplay, possessiveness and marking.
Colton came off as a bit immature at first, and I didn’t really get his reasons for the rivalry, which felt a bit one sided to me. He seemed to be making a bigger deal of it than Noah, which also added to the tension between them – Colton being hot-headed while Noah came across as more patient and collected. I really liked his PoV and the self-discoveries he made once he started to consider his feelings and actions, and he had a lot of character growth throughout the story.
Brim Over Boot was an entertaining and fun rivals to lovers, with some miscommunication and drama! Colton and Noah’s story had a ton of tension in it, but also a lot of humour and sweetness. The progression from rivals to lovers was great, and I loved to see how sweet they could be to each other, after all the years of bickering and fighting. I’m so fond of the Darling family and this small town setting, and I very much look forward to Lawson’s story!
