Mine? My entire body went flaming hot. Shit. No one had ever called me anything like that before. No one had ever wanted to. But Jesus, the way he said it, low and rumbling against my skin? It felt too real.

An accidental marriage, sled hockey, some sweet hurt / comfort sprinkled with humour and found family – there was so much to love about this story!

Zero Pucks was a great start to E.M. Lindsey’s new series, and I really enjoyed this story and the characters that were introduced here. Tucker and Amedeo had quite the intriguing start, with Tuck waking up alone in a strange hotel room, not remembering much of the night before. It was fun to see him and Deo trying to piece together what happened that night by themselves, even though Deo had the advantage of having their marriage license and documents…

Deo was an absolute sweetheart and I loved that Tuck almost instantly felt protective of him. Tuck was very mindful of what Deo was going through with his ex, and it was sweet to see how much he cared for him and wanted to do better by him. The initial awkwardness between them was cute, and I liked how things developed between them. They made a great couple and I loved how Deo helped softening some of Tuck’s rougher edges. There was so much support and tenderness in their story, and the hurt / comfort from their baggage and traumas hit all the feels.

Zero Pucks had all the goodness that I’ve come to expect from E.M. Lindsey, and I loved to see Deo and Tuck falling for each other. They might have seemed like an unlikely match at first, but turned out to be perfect for each other. The found family vibe was very strong here, and I’m very excited to read their stories – their friendships were just so wholesome, filled with humour and banter!

It was a stark reminder that I still needed so much more time to get to know him. I wanted all those details. I wanted to know his tender spots so I could soothe them. I wanted to see where all his scars were so I could make sure no one ever reopened those wounds.
