Daddy kink with age gap, hurt / comfort and love after loss – A Tall Order should have been right up my alley, but sadly I just didn’t quite feel the connection between the characters.

Austin and Remington’s story was filled with sweet and tender moments, and it was lovely to see Austin thrive by having a Daddy in his life again. He’d been trying to manage on his own after losing his fiancé / Daddy, and it was clear that he was struggling and hurting. Remington was his Daddy’s best friend, and when he noticed how much Austin was struggling, he decided it was time to step in.

Things developed pretty fast between them, and I liked the focus on Austin feeling safe and taken care of. Austin was adorable and I liked how good Remington was with him, knowing what he needed and communicating. Their kink dynamic worked well and they were a great match for each other, but I didn’t really feel any genuine connection or chemistry between them. Their relationship unfortunately ended up feeling more like a convenience than anything else to me.

It was overall a very sweet read with some great hurt / comfort, and I loved the Daddy kink and age play. Remington was great with Austin and I liked how they worked things through and communicated with each other. I really wanted to love this story and I’m a bit sad that it didn’t fully work out for me.
