“Can I kiss you?” he asked, his eyes dazed. “I think I’ll die if you don’t.”

A super sweet and romantic holiday story!

I probably shouldn’t have jumped straight into book five in this series, as the past characters were quite present and I felt like I was missing some context… But anyways, Deck the Fire Halls was a very sweet and charming story, pretty much exactly what one can expect from a small town holiday romance.

Rob and Soren had a bit of a rough start, but it wasn’t long before Soren had managed to charm his way into Rob’s life. Soren was a total golden retriever character, and it was fun to see how he tried to get Rob to notice and like him. I really liked their communication and how there wasn’t any unnecessary drama – just two mature men falling in love. There were lots of lighthearted, fun and steamy moments with these two!

Overall a sweet, no angst holiday story with some grumpy / sunshine, small town vibes, meddling friends, and a lot of cosy Christmas feels!

And yeah, those feelings I’d thought about earlier tonight, that I’d tried to ignore, that I was too scared to name? There was no ignoring them now.
