He didn’t need Kash to love him back. He’d never needed that. He just needed him here, and alive, and safe.
I’d been waiting for Adele’s story since he was introduced in this series, and I loved seeing him get his own HEA in this emotional and swoony romance!
I adored Adele and Kash, even if they were a little frustrating at times – all that pining and lack of communicating made me want to lock them in a room until they kissed and talked… They were definitely a case of oblivious idiots to lovers, but with all the history they shared it was easy to see how neither of them wanted to do anything that might make the other one uncomfortable. It was obvious how much they loved each other, and their pining and longing really made my heart ache.
Adele became determined to woo Kash though, and I loved how fierce and protective he was. He’d always been the one his found family relied on, so his loneliness and insecurities came as a bit of a surprise to me, even if I’d always suspected there were sides that he kept hidden from the other guys. He was super dreamy and romantic with Kash, and the levels of swoon were epic with these two!
Kash’s health issues were quite nerve wrecking, and E.M. Lindsey was as always fantastic at portraying disabilities and health struggles. I felt a lot for Kash, with everything he went through, and his frustration and feelings were very present and well written. Adele with his caretaking nature was with him every step he was allowed to be though, and I loved how perfect they were for each other.
Chasing You was a beautiful and moving story, full of pining and romance! It was a captivating read with a hard won HEA, and while it was frustrating at times, I loved every page of Adele and Kash’s story. This whole series has a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to see who else finds their way into this found family!
“You deserve to be loved in whatever state your body exists. And I know that’s rich coming from me, who—apart from my potassium being a little low—is in good health and hasn’t dated since my divorce. But I mean it. I really fucking mean it. You deserve to be loved.”
