“We’ll seduce them together,” he whispered. “And one day soon…my fantasies will come true. I’ll be here, right here, to kiss your tears away as Greer and Sloan rapefuck your tight little ass.”
“Fuck!” I gasped. Who the fuck was this indecent little devil? He’d clearly read my kinks on my online profile.

I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve read this book – it’s one of my ultimate comfort reads and I love seeing Corey finding his place with Greer and his men!

Corey will always have a special place in my heart, he’s such a sweet and loveable character, and I loved his bratty and goofy sides as well. It was great seeing him finding his way back to his bratty self after being abused by his partner, and Greer, Sloan and Archie were all so supportive and sweet with him. It was heartbreaking to see Corey realise just how manipulative and abusive his ex was, but luckily he was surrounded by people who cared about him and the hurt / comfort was perfect.

It took some time before their relationship as a foursome came together, Greer had his reservation due to Corey’s past relationship as well as his age, and didn’t want to push him for something he wasn’t ready for. Corey, on the other hand, was certain of what he wanted and I loved how he and Archie plotted to make the stubborn Doms see what was right in front of them. I utterly adored these four men and their relationship was so emotionally charged, that I was completely invested in how everything would come together for them.

I loved the development between Greer and Corey, they had some heartfelt and beautiful moments and I adored their connection and history. Sloan and Corey were ridiculously cute as well, and I smiled a lot at how Corey brought out the Daddy Dom in Sloan. The relationships and dynamics were amazingly written, and I felt like they all had the opportunity and time to find their own connections with each other.

Adrift in the Embers had great characters and a lot of my favourite tropes, along with the best found family / BDSM community. The Game series is best enjoyed if read in order, and it really is a fantastic series. If you want to jump into this one though, I would recommend reading The Shepherd beforehand, as it focuses on Greer, Archie and Sloan.

“Yes, please. I wanna follow your rules and be a good boy for you.”
I felt the lust radiating from him, the war he was losing against himself, the self-restraint caving under his desires.
“We’ll set the rules together.” He pressed a firm kiss to my jaw. “Fuck, how I want you, little one.”
