Let’s take a little look inside of Controlled Burn by Jacki James, the first book in the Station 69 series.
Jacki James is great at writing sweet Daddies, and Controlled Burn was no exception! Keith and Caleb’s story was a great start to a new series, and I loved seeing them both catch feelings while “just” experimenting / kink exploring together.
I enjoyed getting to know the firefighters at Station 69, and I look forward to following the overarching plot / suspense storyline together with these characters!
How it begins…
“What kind of beans are you using?”
Robert and I both turned to gape at the new kid.
“Where did you say you were from, probie?” I asked.
Tropes

“You’ll come when I tell you to, baby boy, and not a moment sooner.”
What to expect

- ‘experimenting’ to lovers

- kink exploration
- sweet with low angst
- a little mystery / suspense
- strong found family vibe
- overarching plot
I kissed and touched for what seemed like forever, dragging it out as long as I could. He was so responsive, and fuck, the sounds he made were so needy and desperate as he writhed against me, searching for something I was refusing to give him until I was ready.
