I’m so happy to finally get Penelope’s story! Even if she’d been present throughout the series, I never really felt like I got to know her until now.
Nora and Penelope’s story was on the sweeter side, with Pen still dealing with the aftermath of her breakup with her ex Ella. It was sweet to see how they both tried to hold back but couldn’t fully resist the pull between them. I really enjoyed Nora’s PoV, while she hadn’t been in the community for long, she had been crushing on Pen from the start. I liked how honest she was with Pen and that she knew what she wanted, and her being a bit of a brat sometimes? Definitely a bonus.
For the Night was a great introduction to Pen and Nora’s relationship, and I hope there will be more of their relationship and dynamic in the future. I always love to return to House McLean, and the easy banter and affection these character have for each other gets me every time. Cara Dee also did an amazing job of setting things up for Nathan and Ash’s story, and I can’t wait to see what she has planned for them!
