He was bound and free at the same time.
He had no choice but to stay where Kage put him. No decisions to make. His mind was empty and clear.

The Golden Handcuffs was a highly anticipated read for me, and I love the way K.C. Carmine writes kink and love!

These two stubborn men definitely didn’t make it easy for themselves or each other, but I loved the attraction between them and how they couldn’t resist the pull and connection they had towards each other. Both Kage and Finley were haunted by their pasts, and weren’t looking for commitment or love, but as these things go, it found them nonetheless.

While Kage was an experienced Dom, Finley was totally new to the scene as he started working the bar and security at a kink club. They both instantly felt a connection to each other the first time they met at the club, and it was fun to see from both of their PoV how they couldn’t stop thinking about each other. Of course their pasts got in their way a little bit, but it didn’t take them long to work things out and move on together.

I loved the dynamic that they quickly found, and even if Finley was new to the scene, he easily submitted to Kage and I loved to see the peace he found in his submission. Kage certainly didn’t hold back as a Dom and their kink exploration had plenty of steamy and kinky scenes!

The Golden Handcuffs was overall a great and enjoyable read! Kage and Finley were so good for each other, and I loved to see them slowly building a trusting relationship with a lot of support and love for each other. If you enjoy romance reads with BDSM and kink in them, you should definitely check out this series!

“Finley, fuck. You’re such a perfect Toy. And all mine to play with.” What he wanted to say would be too dangerous for his heart. Because Finley was perfect for him.
