When you know, you know.

Ever since the first book I’ve been longing for Matty’s story, and I was super excited to finally read it. Matty was exactly as kind and sweet as I thought he’d be, and I loved seeing him find his person in Antoni and finally get his own HEA!

Matty was quite literally a walking green flag with the biggest heart, giving everyone a chance, even if people sometimes took advantage of his generosity and attempts to feel less lonely. I loved his character and sweetness so much, and I disliked how his teammates and ex kept making comments and remarks about him. He was honestly an absolute sweetheart, and his willingness to help people was admirable.

I enjoyed seeing Matty and Antoni together, they were both great with the kids and things between them felt easy and natural from early on. I loved seeing them get to know each other! The friends to lovers made sense for them with everything going on in their lives, and Matty needed that emotional connection as well before anything else could happen between them.

The chemistry between Antoni and Matty was great, and I loved the simmering attraction and the push and pull between them. Neither of them wanted to rush into anything considering the kids and how Antoni’s life had been turned upside down, so it was a bit of a slow burn romance. It was funny and cute how oblivious they were though – everyone else basically figured out there was something between them before they did.

The Home Game was an excellent addition to the Relationship Goals series, and I’m having the best time with this team and their strange ability to end up in unconventional marriage situations! I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series, even if Dom wasn’t my favourite character in this book, I have to admit I’m very curious about him and what he’s been up to!
