I think I’ve found my soulmate, believe it or not, I really truly do, and I have to let him go.

I’ve been curious about Fletcher since I first read Hostile a few years back, and I’m so happy that he finally got his own story!

Ronan and Fletcher’s story started out a little bumpy and with a lot of assumptions. Ronan was Fletcher’s professor and he wasn’t a fan of him as he kept showing up late to his lectures, which Ronan took as him being entitled and spoiled. In reality these two had more in common than what they first thought, and I liked how Ronan slowly started to realise that there was a lot more to Fletcher and his past than what he had assumed.

Their chemistry was great and I loved the way they were drawn to each other and couldn’t stay away. Fletcher was set on having his professor and he had to be a little persistent before Ronan stopped fighting his attraction and gave in. A little summer loophole turned into a summer fling, because we all know how well time restrictions work, right?

For being a student / teacher romance, Too Hostile had very little angst, and most of the angst came from the characters being stubborn and not communicating fully. Both Fletcher and Ronan had a history of abuse and trauma, growing up in foster care, and their discussions about that led to some emotional scenes. I loved how they understood each other and could talk about their experiences with someone who had been in similar situations.

It was a sweet and pretty steamy read, and I really enjoyed Fletcher and Ronan’s story! They were a great fit for each other and I loved how Fletcher could drop his mask around Ronan and be himself. A great summer read for when you’re feeling like a sweet student / teacher romance!

“You deserve love too. You don’t see it, and I get it, but I’ll show you. I’m just the right kind of stubborn you need. I’m going to love you so damn hard, you’ll never question it again.”
