House of Cards by Garrett Leigh

Let’s take a little look inside of House of Cards by Garrett Leigh, the first book in the Porth Ewan Bay series.

There was so much to love with this story, it was such a beautiful and heartbreaking read! I loved seeing Brix and Calum get a second chance and slowly go from friends to lovers, while also starting to heal along the way. There was a lot of pain in their story – but also a lot of healing and love.

Brix and Calum’s story had me captured from the first chapter, and I didn’t want to put the story down. It’s a perfect pick if you’re looking for a read on the angstier side with a very sweet HEA!

How it begins…

Calum Hardy dipped the needle into the black ink and pressed his foot to the pedal of Dottie, the faithful old-school coil machine he’d had since his apprenticeship in Camden.
