Dock Tease was a fun and sweet start to the Swallow Cove series!
Written in DJ Jamison’s usual style, this story was a light-hearted and low angst romance full of humour and innuendoes. I loved how Fisher knew who he wanted and went for it, he was so determined to turn his crush on Hudson into something more. Hudson was a bit hesitant, there was a 20 year age gap between them and a feud going on between Hudson and Fisher’s father, so he had his reasons. However, it didn’t take Fisher too long to wear down Hudson’s resistance by teasing and flirting.
They were really sweet together, and I loved how supportive and encouraging Hudson were when it came to Fisher and his ambitions. This was a couple that made me smile a lot! While Fisher had been crushing on Hudson for years, and was very sure of what he wanted, it took Hudson a little longer to realise that he had feelings for Fisher and that their initial agreement to just hook up had turned into something else.
Dock Tease had a lot of tropes that I love, and it was a sweet and light read with an adorable couple. I really enjoyed the community and small town that was introduced here – there were a lot of interesting characters introduced and I’m already eager to find out what’s going on between Skylar and Brooks!
