The Handler by August Jones

Let’s take a little look inside of The Handler by August Jones, the first book in The Manhandled series.

This was such an entertaining and steamy read! Gideon definitely needed a firm hand, and luckily his new handler / bodyguard could give him just that… The spice and kink was fantastic and I loved their dynamic, even if it bordered on obsessive and toxic at times.

So, if you want a smutty read with some great banter, a bratty boy and his supposedly straight handler – this is it!

How it begins…

The voices coming from behind the door grow louder as I scroll the most recent paparazzi hit pieces of my new detail. Gideon York is a disaster I’m not sure even I can contain. And after ten years with the LAPD, that’s saying something.

  • forced proximity
  • age gap
  • sexual discovery
  • hurt / comfort
  • BDSM

He’s silent as he takes me in. Seething. Glaring. Radiating resentment, and I don’t blame him. First impression? Pissed. Exhausted. Rich. Entitled.
Brat.
My specialty.

“I mean to say, we don’t ever have to have sex. We don’t ever have to do anything more than we’ve done or any of that even, just don’t—don’t stop talking to me. Don’t stop looking after me. I need you,” he says in a whisper.
