Oh my heart. It’d been a long time since I wanted something this badly.
Just one taste was all right. Wasn’t it?

I’d been really excited about this as the tropes and plot seemed very intriguing, and The Nerd & the Ex-Con ended up being a very enjoyable story!

Scottie and Griff had some excellent chemistry and I really liked their dynamic – they were opposites in a lot of way, but managed to easily complement each other. I liked their history as prison pen pals, and even if Scottie hadn’t been completely honest, they still knew things about one another and shared a connection.

I liked how nervous Scottie initially was around Griffin, and it was fun to see their… friendliness turn into more as Griffin found himself being attracted to Scottie. I felt very invested in their relationship, and the tension created from their secret relationship made things interesting. It definitely got steamy between them, and it was great to see how Scottie showed his more uninhibited and wild sides in those scenes.

There was a bit of angst thrown in, as Scottie and Griffin hid their relationship from Jay – Scottie’s best friend and Griffin’s son, but I didn’t find the family drama to be too much, and it was mostly a sweet and steamy read. There were a few aspects of the story that I struggled a bit with, but overall I found it to be a very enjoyable and entertaining story, and I loved the dynamic and chemistry between Scottie and Griffin!

Everything inside of me whispered two words.
Ruin him.
