EWB by N.R. Walker

This week we’re taking a little look inside of EWB: Enemies With Benefits by N.R. Walker.

I didn’t expect to love this as much as I did since enemies to lovers is far from my favourite trope, but the hate sex and hurt / comfort was fantastic in this story. Marshall and Valentine were so hot together and their chemistry was off the charts !

Their story was so well written, and I loved to see how the hate slowly grew into something like affection between them. A great and enjoyable read, with high heat and lots of feels!

How it begins…

I hated Valentine Tye.
I hated him with every fibre of my being, with the raging fire of a thousand burning suns. I hated him in ways I couldn’t even describe.

Tropes

  • enemies to lovers
  • hurt / comfort
  • opposites attract
  • mental health
  • boss / employee

I left him, still lying on his dining table with his trackpants around his thighs, covered in my come, and I walked out.

What to expect

  • long term rivals and enemies
  • hook-up arrangement
  • a little kink
  • intense and steamy
  • all the chemistry
  • slow building affection
  • Enzo the cat

I tried to squirm away and he pushed me down harder. “You wanted it,” he grunted. “You fucking take it.”
