“I won’t make you work for it anymore, Sam.”
He rumbles a little. “I don’t mind, Harrison. You’re worth it.”

Wishing Hearts take place about ten years after Harrison left Plum Valley, and it’s a book full of sweetness and swoon! Harrison and Sammy were so adorable together and their story had me both crying and laughing.

Sammy was a complete sweetheart, and I loved his energy and directness – he really just called dibs on Harrison and then went after him to get his man. Harrison was a little more hesitant, and he had his reasons, but I’m so happy that he gave Sammy a chance. It hurt to see how lonely and sad he’d been, and he definitely needed someone like Sammy in his life.

Their chemistry was amazing and there were some fun, steamy scenes, including some cowboy kink… But I also loved their sweeter and swoony moments, their little “tell me something” game and all of their small touches. Their vulnerability and the affection they so clearly felt for each other. There was just so much to love in their story.

Even if I prefer books without kids in them, I actually liked seeing Harrison as a dad, and I ended up liking Winnie as well. She and Sammy were really cute together and I really enjoyed their interactions.

Wishing Hearts was a wonderful, heartfelt story, and I really loved and adored every moment with Harrison and Sammy! Their story was just so full of warmth, comfort and love, and it was impossible to not fall in love with these characters. It was a fantastic ending to what has been an absolutely amazing series, and I’ll truly miss Plum Valley and all of the characters!

“It’s like he was made for you two, Harrison. I don’t really believe in soulmates, but whatever pieces make up the whole of that man, they fit against you. Against you and Winnie. Seeing him with her today…” He shakes his head. “He’s everything I’d hoped for the two of you.”
