Malibu by Emmy Sanders

Let’s take a look inside of Malibu by Emmy Sanders, the second book in the Elite 8 Studio series.

I adored Henrik and Mal so much! They had a great connection from the start and their romance was so sweet and swoony. I loved Henrik’s possessiveness and how it came out in certain scenes – they were both just so into each other and I was totally there for it! A captivating and beautifully written story with lots of feels.

What I loved about Malibu:
• how soft Henrik became around Mal
• the cute messages in braille
• the friendships
• Benjamin, the cheeky personal assistant
• great mental health rep

How it begins…

“I don’t know about this, Jerome.”
“Don’t know about what?” the man asks, raising one arched eyebrow my way.

Tropes

  • age gap
  • hurt / comfort
  • sex worker
  • forced proximity
  • disability rep
  • client / escort
  • found family

“I don’t want them touching you,” I grit out once I’ve released his flesh. Mal pants as I drag my lips lower, sucking small kisses against the side of his neck.
“I get it now,” he breathes out. “The exclusivity thing. You’re a territorial motherfucker.”

What to expect

  • all the possessiveness
  • blind MC
  • affection and small touches
  • emotional read
  • mental health rep
  • kittens!
  • past abuse / trauma

Escort. Porn star. Camboy. Malibu.
None of that matters. Because, for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m finding a piece of myself in Henrik’s arms.
